RMC Users, Surveyors and interested others

I am very proud to let each of you know that the RMC Office has changed its imaging software.  In 1997, we began imaging RMC documents with Minolta software.  Anyone who has used our Web Site knew from time to time it was going to be slow.  In 2004, we switched to a state-of-the-art product known as OnBase or Hyland software.

The new product created an entirely new way of doing business in this office.  The Minolta product depended on Juke Boxes to store images.  OnBase stores its images in an extremely large hard drive.  This change means faster images to your screen.  The Minolta product had to have an employee link the data to the image.  OnBase allows us to create a bar-code page which is inserted in the front of the scanned document.  Once the document is scanned it is automatically linked.

The new Software is compatible with the Windows XP operating system and is upgradable for future operating systems.

Difficult names and churches as of 01/01/2005 we will be indexed with the individual names in them as they are recorded.  Such as: (currently) Dawley Chuck Blvd Investments LLC  will read Chuck Dawley Blvd Investments LLCWalter Jim Homes Incwill read Jim Walter Homes Inc  This change should make searching much easier.

The 1997 Tax Maps indexes are also available to help you find your areas tax map number.

Deeds, Mortgages, Liens, Plats and other misc. Documents continue to be added to the system.  As we get caught up we will begin going to the rears once again with the above documents.

We are also adding additional documents to our Archival Room.

You can now find a list of scanned plats for:

McCrady Plats

Pre-1900 PLats

Gaillard Plats
